When setting up your profile on Connected-Women, keep these 6 easy steps in mind.
1. Post a photo of yourself.
Remember, you are building your brand, there are people involved, reading your profile, making up their minds, if you are the right person to contact. Think about how likely you would contact somebody with a WC icon on its profile?
2. Who are you?
Define what you're about. What is your passion? Give a detailed summary on what motivates you to be exactly who you are. Allow yourself to be creative to keep your readers learning more about you. Received any award or recognitions? Be sure to post on your profile.
3. What do you offer
Provide your "30 Second Elevator Pitch"- This will let everyone know what your mission is and if you can possibly benefit them with your services or product.
4. What are you looking for?
What sort of connections are you looking for? Are you looking for suppliers? Resellers? Special targeted groups? List it down.
5. Linking
Set links to your blog, website and other social networks. Guide them to other ways they can connect with you if needed by making these links easy to find on your profile.
6. Keep paragraphs short and concise
Last but not least make sure your profile is understandable and readable. Put yourself in "unique" viewer's shoes and re-read the information that you have provided. Does it flow? Is it easy to keep up with or are you being pulled in every which direction?
