Have you attended a Global Summit of Women conference?

I'm interested to hear from women who attended the Global Summit of Women conference which was held in Hanoi, Vietnam earlier in June.

I have attended 3 summits so far, in Seoul S-Korea 2004, Mexico City 2005 and last year in Berlin Germany.

All of these summits have been memorable, networking with a big group of really interesting women from all over the world.  Feeling the positive impact and the female power to success, is empowering.

Did you participate in this year summit in Vietnam? I'm interested to hear how everything went?

Have you participated in the summits I mentioned above?  I'm interested to re-connect and keep on building up good relationship for stronger business opportunities.

Do you know where the next Global Summit of Women will be held?  Could not find it on their web site.

Thanks for starting this thread Runa! I also did not go to Vietnam but I am eager to hear about it. I attended Mexico City in 2005, Cairo in 2006 and Berlin in 2007. Were there exhibits this year? I really missed having those in Berlin. What sessions were the most valuable to you? I understand next year's is in Chile--is that correct?

I went to this year's Summit as part of the Global Summit staff and, although I did not get to see every presentation I would have liked (due to the fact that I actually had to work), what I did see was incredible.  WEXPO did take place at this year's Summit, and as I'm sure it was in year's past, was incredible in Hanoi.  The Vietnamese delegation was by far the largest (around 400 women and some men) and were all very excited to be there - always taking pictures and giving out their business cards - I collected a few from women who didn't even speak any English, nor I Vietnamese, but they were just very excited to share their businesses.

 Next year's Summit will be in Chile and we hope you can make it!

Dear Runa,

How are you?? Long time...


I was in Global Sunmit of women, in may, in Santiago- Chile . It was fantastic and unforgetable!!
In my opinion it is much more profitable than Congresses of FCEM . Why? Because there are many training conferences (for Enterpreneurs and Women Leaders), because it has content, and because the "organization" enables networking among its women.-

The next Congress (2010) is in Beijing, and i want go, of course!!!

Thanks to Connected Women and the pre-conference forum on the Global Summit, Delia and I found each other in Santiago and I also met up with Milena who chatted with us online. Thank you Runa for making our conversations easy and possible.

Delia, I hope you will share with us all your progress on starting your new association for women entrepreneurs in Argentina.

And who is going to Beijing next year? Me! Hope many of you do, too.

Hi all of you!

I would be very interested to be in Beijing next year! Connected Women is one of the International Partners of Global Summit, it would be wonderful to see group of women from our site, joining the conference.

We will set up a special pre-networking thread in good time for that event! Keep your eyes open for that one!

I already do work in China so I'll try to coordinate a work trip around the Summit. Does anyone know the dates yet?
