WIEF 5th annual World Islamic Economic Forum

The 5th annual World Islamic Economic Forum is being held March 1-4 in Jakarta, Indonesia. On March 1, a special forum for Businesswomen was held titled: Women Entrepreneurs: The Driving Force Towards a Stronger Future"

Two women from our network Deborah Leary OBE from UK and Mary Schnack our PR EXPERT from USA were among the speakers.

This Forum is being set up for two reasons: to give ways for women who attended the Forum a way to continue to network and for other women to participate and network with women from the Islamic countries.

What information do you want to know?   How can you share business practices with them?   How can we all do business together?

Greetings to all my new friends from the WIEF Forum. We had a great time networking and establishing how we would really make things HAPPEN in the future. This forum is one of them. This is where we can keep in touch with a broader audience and put our needs out there. How we want to connect and learn and how we want to connect and mentor. Or how we can help with connections to others in our network.

It has truly enriched my life meeting all of you and I look forward to seeing you again soon and working with you in the near future.

Blessings--Mary Schnack

All good wishes to everyone who attend the WIEF Forum. This was a conference filled with positive energy. There were a number of key messages to come out from this conference. In a global climate of suspicion and mistrust and of cultural misinterpretation, it has to be said largely brought on by the media, it was wonderful to attend this conference which focussed on positive relationships and sharing of experiences. Key words within the conference were 'trust' and 'integrity' and the need to learn from the hard lessons of the West. As Vice President of the British Association of Women Entrepreneurs I am very much looking forward to developing the relationships made and thank all those who contributed to making my first stay in Jakarta such a wonderful one.
